DC-native and design-griot, Christian Richardson, Haushold is a brand dedicated to celebrating and uplifting Black culture and design. With a focus on lifestyle products, Christian saw the opportunity to showcase the diversity and beauty of Black culture in everyday life. Drawing on over fifteen years of design and illustration experience, she seamlessly weaves The Culture into unexpected mediums, creating a unique and vibrant experience for all.
Founded in 2023 with a mission to celebrate and elevate heritage and culture in design through a range of lifestyle products, Haushold is more than a home goods destination. We produce a range of high-quality and unique products that represent the richness and creativity of The Culture. From kitchenware to non-perishables, apparel, games, and tchotchkes, we thoughtfully curate every item with a modern twist to blend classic and contemporary aesthetics.
